that’s a book of poems by Carol Ann Duffy. i came across it a couple of times during my studies and everytime i’m baffled how good it is. Duffy is sort of telling history from the wife’s point of view, mostly referring to greek mythology but also more contemporary charaters like Faust, King Kong, Freud, Elvis and stuff. i think she totally nailed it with those poems, seriously....
